Braided Sweetgrass

Hierochloe Odorata, commonly known as Sweetgrass, Manna grass, Mary’s Grass or Vanilla grass, and Holy grass in the UK, is an aromatic herb native to Canada. The First Nations consider it as a sacred plant and use it to smudge, much like White Sage, Cedar and Palo Santo. As a ritual, this plant can be hung in a room to purify and refresh the air. It is also used in aromatherapy and in medicinal practices.
